A few weeks ago I took the girls to get their picture taken in old smocked dresses my mom made for me and my sisters. I need to find the picture of me wearing the pink dress Molly is in. Elsie is in her new blessing gown my mom made especially for her.
I got these little glasses and mini spoons for christmas ( I bought them for myself). I have been waiting for a chance to take them to a party. I went to a neighbor’s baby shower and made a chocolate cheesecake mouse with an Oreo crust on the bottom topped with coolwhip and a raspberry. I rimed the glass using corn syrup and sprinkles. Next time I make then I will put the Oreo crust in the middle of the parfait. They were a huge hit. I love these glasses and spoons. They class up a pudding. While I am on a baking kick, I have had no desire to cook dinner. This is our 4th night going out to eat. We ate at Mimi’s Cafe. Eh it was ok. But Molly LOVES slurping out of a straw. She is pretty good at it too. We are expecting her front teeth to come any day. She is showing all the signs.
Dillards was at its capacity it seemed like. We were there right when the doors opened and there was a mad dash to the escalators to get to shoes. I got two pair that are super cute. Then I made my way to the women’s department where I got some others cute stuff. Brian on the other hand bought 2 suits and about a dozen other things. It was a good trip.
Molly went sledding for her first time. I did not like her sledding because it was icy and I think she is too little. But when she gets older I’m going to be the mom who makes her wear a helmet.
Cafe Rio night at the knights house. It was a full house. Great food.
I feel on track for Christmas. We were the first to get out neighbor gifts out. We gave our favorite thing which is pineapples. What an easy gift to give. For FHE we put on our winter coats and walked around and delivered these little babies. We caught most everyone home.
For the past few weeks I have started buying the raviolis in the can for Molly. SHE LOVES THEM. I usually take off most of her clothes (it stains) and put her in her highchair and let her go to town on them. It has gotten to the point now that she knows the sounds of me preparing the raviolis specifically, so crawls over and starts grunting and moving up and down with excitement.
This is us boarding the ship! We were super excited.
I was impressed with this gingerbread house! The smell of gingerbread filled this room. I loved it. Of course the ship was decked out for Christmas.
Bri and I went one the Aquaduck water silde about 5 times each. It was a short slide. It took 5 seconds from start to finish. You stand on a trap door and it releases you down. The first time I was terrified, but I would have to say it was the best water slide I have ever been on. During the day they would play Disney movies on the big screen and on Thanksgiving they showed football games on it all day. It was fun to lay by the pool and watch movies at the same time.
The first day the kids areas have open houses you can check out the fun areas. After that they seal them off to where only kids can access them. Molly only loved the nursery with mom and dad with her.
This is the area for the 3-11 year olds. They had a dress up area called pixie hallow filled with ton of dress ups for the girls. It looked like fun to me.
Animator’s Palate was our first dinning room and our favorite. As the night goes on the walls fill with color.
We entered Molly in Jack-Jack’s Incredible Diaper Dash. She won. She had a huge cheering section. Right after she crossed the finish line a lady picked her up and started taking pictures with her. There were about 200 people watching the race. Molly was pretty well known around the ship after that. We would be in various places around the ship and people would be like, “Hey thats Molly!” and “Hi Molly”. We were known as “Molly’s parents” around the ship.
Molly went straight for that lanyard as Brian dangled it along. As you can see the other babies went off track.
Dinners were not something we looked forward to each day. Molly did not like sitting through them. She was a pill. The food wasn’t that great but I loved the desserts. Brian and I were a bit sea sick most of the time so our appetite was small.
We had fun at Port in Cozumel, Mexico. The weather was perfect! We left Molly in the nursery- which was great because we got to snorkel.
After picking up Molly from the nursery we went to the Pirate Party onboard, these bandanas were waiting for us at dinner. All the staff were dressed up as pirates. It was my favorite night. After dinner we went on deck and they had a show and fireworks. We dance and sang until Molly passed out in Brian’s arms.
The Disney touches were the best. This was our favorite towel animal in our room. Jojo cleaned our room twice a day-which I loved! Those employees work so hard on the ship. Especially the waiters and housekeeping.
Cast away Cay (KEY) was amazing. I was in aww with house they turned an island into a mini Disney park. It had everything on this tiny island in the middle of nowhere. And since we were on the smaller ship there were enough chairs and umbrellas. This was Mollys best day. She was so chill and she just relaxed with me on the beach while brian went snorkeling and exploring. The best part of the island was all the ice cream, snacks, drinks were free. I got Molly a sand bucket and she loved it, almost as much as she loved eating the sand and shells! The weather was a bit chilly and the water was way too cold for Molly and I so we stayed on the sand trying to soak in as much sun as possible.
Thanksgiving night we all went to dinner. Brian was sick with a stomach bug. Molly was so tired she could not sit through dinner so before our food came she was taken to the nursery. She screamed and screamed as soon as they took her. I got a call an hour later to come and pick her back up because she hadn’t stopped screaming.
fFirst the crust. Which is just 40 Oreos crushed. Then add a stick of butter melted. Mix and press into a 9×13 baking dish. Then thaw some ice cream (half gallon) just enough to spread on top of the Oreo crust. freeze. Then top with fudge and garnish with peppermint. (I forgot to take a picture of it complete- but you can imagine)
This ratty old Festival of Trees tree was found in our basement. I gave it a quick makeover and revived it. But now that it is all cute and festive I have no place to put it in the house. Much better. In january I will catch all the christmas stuff on clearance and add some more decorations to it.
We all got together at Julie’s house and helped pass out candy to the trick or treaters. Julie had soup and chili. I brought bread. Molly had two costumes. One was her Rapunzel and then when it was time to Trick or treat in the 50 degree weather she changed into her Giraffe costume that had a hood. Molly loved going to the five houses. Her favorite piece of candy was the regular sized Starburst. It fit in her hand perfectly. She clang to it all through trick or treating. After, her and Janey played at Julie’s house. They are so cute together. They will defiantly be bffs someday.
