We had a wonderful time stopping in Payson, UT on our way home from Ephraim to celebrate my cousins mission home coming from Canada. We had sandwiches and all the fixings. Molly love seeing the horses they had at their house. Again, the weather could not have been more perfect. (forgot the camera 😦 )
I had to be creative with Sunday dinner that night because I didn’t have much to feed Tom and Debbie- poor planning on my part. I came up with taco bowls- or burritos. They turned out so good. But the heartburn they gave me while visiting the cemetery was horrible, so bad Brian came home and cleaned up the kitchen because I was focused on feeling better. I also made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for after dinner- of which I ate non of because this pregnancy I have not eaten any sweets because all of a sudden the sugar doesn’t taste good. On the other had I have had my fair share of guacamole and chips.
We had a nice time visiting the SLC Wiliams headstones with the Knights. Julie did her homework and shared some fun facts and stories of some the headstones we visited.
Since my cell phone won’t upload any pictures onto my blog I have to do it from my computer which isn’t as slick as doing it from my phone. Apparently I have an iPhone coming for my birthday… but that is 3 weeks away.
Last Friday we went to the Zoo. It was our best trip yet. Molly got up close and personal with the Lions at the new exhibit that just opened. she would go up the glass and growl. It was adorable.
Her hair is getting so long. We now do the pigtails and I often do a half up ponytail. But this is her do when she wakes up in the morning.
We had a wonderful time in Ephraim this past weekend. We got there Saturday morning just in time for the parade. Then left Sunday morning. The weather was perfect.
We started Molly with driving lessons.
This child can’t get enough watermelon. She ate so many slices. As you can see the bib was pointless.
It was tragic. It fell into some water, but after a night in some rice and then on the charger, It works! yahoo! Back in business. This morning I made sure I had backed up everything on it. So now it can die and I won’t be so sad. But the really sad news is I can’t upload my photos from my phone onto my blog… so the photos might be slow to come until I get a new phone…..
Brian and I bought a grill yesterday and to test it out we had the Knight’s, Kobes, Tom and Deb over. We grilled the whole meal almost. Lime garlic chicken, vegetable kabobs, rolls and baked mac and cheese. It was cozy in our house with everyone but it was fun to be able to host the Knight’s after all those times they have had us over. For dessert we grilled pineapple, and made banana boats (bananas stuffed with chocolate chips and marshmallows, wrapped in foil, then grilled) all was served with ice cream and a cherry on top. The kids loved making their banana bosts I think.
Brian was a champ grill master! I didn’t realize by buying a grill I got a griller.
We went to the Zoo as soon add Brian good how from work. Molly loved the lions this time. When she saw them she roared at them.
Then we got dinner and went to Samantha and Sophie’s ballet recital. We were so impressed with the recital. It was so professional. Not to mention Sam and Sophie are amazing ballerinas. Brian and I decided Molly should take ballet when she is a bit older. They had these little “lamb” dancers who must have been about 3 years old that just melted us.
Lisa spent the day with us. She calls herself “mom#2”. But only when Molly is being a sweet child, all other times she reminds me molly isn’t her responsibility and this is a favor only.
Lisa and I went to lunch with a friend. This is what I have resorted to to keep this wild child in her seat. It worked. Lunch was at cheese cake factory at city creek mall.
I was about to die on the couch this afternoon. I was sick and dizzy beyond belief. So Molly got to watch her heart out of Winnie the Pooh until Brian got home. It must have been the Costco trip earlier that day that sent me over edge.
On the bright side we are stocked up on soap of every kind, trash bags and some impulse buys I didn’t know I had to have (like my new jammies).
Bri is out of town again. This time he went to Boise. Molly and I picked up Grandma and went to dinner. Then we went and watched Deb preform. She did such a great job. I have never seen her dance before..and boy can she. Molly loved the recital. She sat with Julie who fed her a chocolate kitkat candybar. Your can imagine how much Molly LOVES Aunt Julie.
What a lovely day. After waking up to a French toast breakfast and flowers, We went and heard Amy speak in north salt lake. She gave a really great talk.
Then we made it back for our ward and Brian taught the primary music with Molly. I was the only mom in relief society who’s husband took the baby!
Brian made me a wonderful dinner. Used our China. He made it so special (he must have talked to his brothers).
I’m one lucky mom. (Brian hid a “Mickey” on the table)
Molly and I went to Brian’s old elementary school and played on the kinder playground. It is my favorite playground because we are the only ones there always and Molly can do the slide by herself. So that means I can find a spot to sit down and she does her thing. Well… runs herself ragged for about 20 mins. Then when she is done she walks away from the slide and waves. That is how I know it is time to go home.
