We got to hang out with these two tonight while Julie and Randy were out to dinner. We picked them up from Clayton and took them out to our favorite Mexican restaurant. They are such well behaved boys. Sweet Josh had Molly out of her carseat as soon as the car went into park at the restaurant -so I didn’t have to. They are expert big brothers. Molly was so sad when they had to go home- actually I was a bit sad too.
We had such a fun weekend in Zion’s National Park. Brian had his Derm. meetings in the mornings and in the afternoons we set out on the trail. We hiked up to all 3 emerald pools. It as a fun hike. Molly could not have been happier in her backpack. She loved every second of it. Brian, on the other hand was a great sport and deserves the “worlds best dad” award.
Once we reached the top pool Molly played in the sand. She loved the sand, but wasn’t sure about getting dirty.
The next day it was cold and rainy/ snowy so instead of hiking we took a drive through Zion’s tunnel. It was a beautiful sight with the cliffs capped with snow.
We kept driving and ended up at Bryce Canyon. It was even colder here. We just drove to the view points and snapped photos.
We got lost on our way home but eventually found our way to Salt Lake. We took I70 west and was spit out by Cove Fort when we wanted to go through Richfield so we could have dinner. Instead we found food at the gas station in Fillmore an hour later.
We are going to Zions this weekend and I thought we probably need clean clothes and road snacks. So today was laundry day which turned into clean house day which then turned into go grocery shopping day. Sheeeesh. I’m happy to report though my floors are no longer crumby. You can walk around bare footed and not feel like your foot is covered in little crumbs. Days where I clean the whole (upstairs) house makes me never want a bigger house. This one is quite manageable. I did conquer all the laundry today! Yeah me.
I bet this lasts 2 hours max. (But I dream of coming home to a clean house).
We are so blessed to be having another baby! After my two doctors appointments today, all is well and we are on track for a healthy baby December 2 this year!
I had an emergency craving for taco bell tonight. Brian immediately went and got me a Cantina bowl. It is my new favorite because Molly and I always share it and I think she loves it just as much as I do. It has rice, beans, chicken, corn, guacamole, lettuce and a hint of lime. I have been really quizey tonight.
Molly was being silly as we were waiting for the kongo bars to bake before bedtime.
We all hung out in SLC today after Ephraim fell through. We still had a blast and the weather was almost prefect. I say almost because at one point I wished I had a sweater.
We met up for an Easter egg hunt at Nana’s house. Then we went to a Jr. High with a big hill to roll eggs down. After that we had lunch at the Knight’s house. It was a fun filled day. Molly just ran along with the other cousins. But Samantha was her BFF. I felt like I was on vacation because Samantha pretty much watched her the whole time. In fact, when it was time to go, Molly held Sam as tight as she could and told me, “no” when I asked if she wanted to come to me. (attitude!)
Molly wasn’t really into the egg hunt- maybe next year. The egg salad sandwiches were just as great as I always remember them.
