Sailing with the Mouse

We had a fabulous time on our Disney Cruise last week. Image

This is us boarding the ship! We were super excited.

I was impressed with this gingerbread house! The smell of gingerbread filled this room. I loved it. Of course the ship was decked out for Christmas.

Bri and I went one the Aquaduck water silde about 5 times each. It was a short slide. It took 5 seconds from start to finish. You stand on a trap door and it releases you down. The first time I was terrified, but I would have to say it was the best water slide I have ever been on. During the day they would play Disney movies on the big screen and on Thanksgiving they showed football games on it all day. It was fun to lay by the pool and watch movies at the same time.

The first day the kids areas have open houses you can check out the fun areas. After that they seal them off to where only kids can access them. Molly only loved the nursery with mom and dad with her.

This is the area for the 3-11 year olds. They had a dress up area called pixie hallow filled with ton of dress ups for the girls. It looked like fun to me.

Animator’s Palate was our first dinning room and our favorite. As the night goes on the walls fill with color.

We entered Molly in Jack-Jack’s Incredible Diaper Dash. She won. She had a huge cheering section. Right after she crossed the finish line a lady picked her up and started taking pictures with her. There were about 200 people watching the race. Molly was pretty well known around the ship after that. We would be in various places around the ship and people would be like, “Hey thats Molly!” and “Hi Molly”. We were known as “Molly’s parents” around the ship.

Molly went straight for that lanyard as Brian dangled it along. As you can see the other babies went off track.

Dinners were not something we looked forward to each day. Molly did not like sitting through them. She was a pill. The food wasn’t that great but I loved the desserts. Brian and I were a bit sea sick most of the time so our appetite was small.

We had fun at Port in Cozumel, Mexico. The weather was perfect! We left Molly in the nursery- which was great because we got to snorkel.

After picking up Molly from the nursery we went to the Pirate Party onboard, these bandanas were waiting for us at dinner. All the staff were dressed up as pirates. It was my favorite night. After dinner we went on deck and they had a show and fireworks. We dance and sang until Molly passed out in Brian’s arms.

The Disney touches were the best. This was our favorite towel animal in our room. Jojo cleaned our room twice a day-which I loved! Those employees work so hard on the ship. Especially the waiters and housekeeping.

Cast away Cay (KEY) was amazing. I was in aww with house they turned an island into a mini Disney park. It had everything on this tiny island in the middle of nowhere. And since we were on the smaller ship there were enough chairs and umbrellas. This was Mollys best day. She was so chill and she just relaxed with me on the beach while brian went snorkeling and exploring. The best part of the island was all the ice cream, snacks, drinks were free. I got Molly a sand bucket and she loved it, almost as much as she loved eating the sand and shells! The weather was a bit chilly and the water was way too cold for Molly and I so we stayed on the sand trying to soak in as much sun as possible.

Thanksgiving night we all went to dinner. Brian was sick with a stomach bug. Molly was so tired she could not sit through dinner so before our food came she was taken to the nursery. She screamed and screamed as soon as they took her. I got a call an hour later to come and pick her back up because she hadn’t stopped screaming.
